​As a certified mind-body eating coach, I practice an exciting and cutting edge approach developed by the Institute for the Psychology of Eating to address weight concerns, overeating, binge eating, emotional eating, body image challenges, and nutrition related health concerns like low energy and troubled digestion. For anyone who feels like food plays an outsized role in their life - consuming their thoughts, dictating their moods, or trapping them in a vicious cycle of either feeling starving or hating how they look - this approach can open up a whole new world of confidence and ease around eating. 

 

The truth is that food is not just about food for us as humans. It’s comfort, connection, celebration, and a million other things. My approach embraces this reality and combines nutrition and psychology to support you in finding a customized and sustainable approach to healthy eating. Unlike other wellness approaches you may have tried, my approach is positive, empowering, and deeply compassionate. I know you’ve put in hard work to create healthy habits and nourish your body well. If you haven’t gotten the results you hoped for, I don’t think it’s your fault. 

In a world full of conflicting nutritional advice and endless body shaming, it’s easy to get trapped in a battle with food that you can’t ever seem to win. In mind-body eating coaching, we’ll eliminate all the confusing and contradictory “shoulds and shouldn’ts” floating around in the Wild West of the wellness industry. Instead we’ll prioritize simple and widely agreed upon strategies from nutrition science and eating psychology. Our barometer for success will always be what’s right for your body and your personal style, based on the feedback you are getting and not what any trend or influencer is saying. 

 

As we work together in this way, eating and health issues become a place of exploration. Instead of seeing such challenges as the enemy, they become opportunities for growth and self-improvement.
